I honestly cannot believe how I’m feeling after finishing this book. Warrior Princess Assassin completely captivated me from start to finish. The writing, the characters, the way everything just clicked together—it was gripping from the very first page, and I haven’t clutched a book this tightly in a long while. I simply could not put it down.
Now, if you want to experience this for yourself, stop reading here and dive right in.
What I loved most was how boldly Brigid Kemmerer delivered a wholesome MMF Romantasy. This was my first book from her, but it certainly won’t be my last. The three main characters—each equally broken, equally flawed, equally scarred—were written with such depth that I couldn’t help but ache for them. Forced to the edge of survival, they find solace and strength in one another’s arms, and the slow build of their connection was absolutely delicious. The romance was complex yet tender, sweetly and tactfully woven into the story. And through the shifting POVs, we were allowed to feel every raw emotion right alongside them.
Yes, some elements of the plot leaned toward the predictable, but it never lessened my enjoyment. In fact, the familiar beats made space for the characters and emotions to shine all the brighter. And this book is brimming with the tropes I adore—travel and adventure, enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, hidden identity, redemption, and that irresistible found family.
This wasn’t just a read; it was an experience. Now, to wait for the second book.
